Presentation of the legendary Italian factory Antonio Lupi

Lviv-based interior and décor studio Bianconero hosted a magnificent event! The representatives of the legendary Italian factory Antonio Lupi visited Ukraine for the first time. Fabrizio Zago, manager of the export department of the Antonio Lupi company alongside with Patricia Lupi, co-owner of the company and Antonio Lupi’s daughter shared with us all the subtleties of the production process. All the participants had a chance to share the atmosphere of production, factory’s values and its history (dating back to the middle part of the previous century, namely 1950, that is 65 years ago!). At that time, the future owner of the factory Antonio Lupi was 18-year old worker producing furniture and glass and mirror elements. After a while, the products designed by the Antonio Lupi company became well-recognizable brand by making a good name for themselves and achieving general approval.
In the 80-s of the previous century new blood was brought into the company – children of Antonio Lupi: Antonio, Patricia, Andrea, Nello and Sergio who invited the leading designers and architects, and as a result, the choice of products was enriched. They started creating an exclusive bathroom fitment by Antonio Lupi, based on the use of natural and composite materials with strong emphasis on handwork. All the design elements combine traditional Italian bathroom elements and Japanese minimalism that enchanted Antonio when he visited the Land of the Rising Sun. The prevailing motives in the design of sinks and tubs by Antonio Lupi are simplicity and absence of décor and at the same time exquisiteness and softness of the form lines. The bathroom collections are perfect examples of combination and interaction of functionality and comfort, as well as naturality, the latter component being an immaculate architect and painter per se.
Interior and décor studio Bianconero, along with the factory Antonio Lupi announced a contest for the best design project of the bathroom! Starting from September 10, 2015 till December 10, 2015 designers and architects have a chance to submit their projects using bathroom fitment, furniture and accessories by Antonio Lupi (provided by the Bianconero studio administration) and participate in a draw of five trips to Italy for visiting the factory Antonio Lupi! The best projects will be chosen by the representatives of the factory Antonio Lupi! The winners will be announced on December 17, 2015.
“I really appreciated the presentation and pleasant relaxed atmosphere! It was quite interesting to get to know the production philosophy straight from the horse's mouth. Indeed, it’s wonderful they managed to invite the factory boss, Patricia Lupi. Fabricio was talking in quite extraordinary way, in a positive meaning, of course, open-heartedly. I would even say he was provoking getting some feedback. It was relaxing and animated. I also learned helpful things for designing using the factory-produced things. They do have distinctions from others and that was rather interesting to learn them”, Aliona Kvasniuk, one of the workshop representatives, shared her impressions.
